Some announcements

Today, we have several announcements to make, some more important than others, depending on the situation!

1 – Weekly drawings paused

This is the most important announcement we have to make: the weekly drawings, published right here and on Instagram, are going on hiatus for an undetermined period of time, but which, in all likelihood, will not go beyond mid-November. The reason? There are two of us at Nimatek. One is very busy with her comic project, and the other is having an anxiety attack. Obviously, things couldn’t go on like this, so we had to take a break until things settled down.

2 – The sequel to Nuibie College starts from scratch (again)

The next iteration of “Nuibie College” (the latest, “La rentrée des crasses”, is currently available exclusively in French and for our fanzine) has seen its development restarted from scratch. Note that this is not the first time that this comic, whose development began in September 2023 (just after the completion of “La rentrée des crasses”), has been “restarted”, so much so that it is a recurring issue for Técé, from a storytelling point of view. The reasons for this are hard to explain (we’ll certainly talk about them one day), but the fact remains that it’s starting all over again, and putting off the English translation and free release of “La rentrée des crasses” all the more. We’re sorry about that.

3 – Nimatek.fr will change its formula

This website is about to undergo a major change. The fact that the weekly drawings are published for each drawing is beginning to seem too heavy. So, during the break in the weekly drawings, the “blog” section of the site will focus exclusively on our major news. The weekly drawings, on the other hand, will be confined to the “Galleries” section, and only that section. In any case, where the weekly drawings are most seen is on our Instagram page (which is why the weekly drawings are now in square format, more suited to this social network), so it won’t change much 😉

That’s it for the announcements. It was a rather long article, as we’d lost the habit of publishing, but you have to say what’s worth saying! 🙂
